Typically, and predictably, and maybe a little bit lazily, we tend to define the Pensacola region by its King and Queen - Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key. The Duke of Hipness - Historic Downtown Pensacola - also earns copious kudos.
Downtown Pensacola’s Palafox Street is well renowned for its dining and nightlife, but locals know to look just off the main drag to the historic Belmont-DeVilliers neighborhood for some of the city’s best Southern culture and fare.
Pensacola’s beautiful beaches and historic downtown make it a destination, but you’ll find the locals in East Pensacola.
North of Interstate 10, much of the Pensacola area takes on a more relaxed and natural vibe.
Pensacola Beach has its native sons and daughters, to be sure. But it embraces many more adopted ones.
